New screens!

I woke with a bunch of screenshot today, from ian, this is what we will be implementing next week (I imagine), take a look, with a quick explanation.

When you enter the observatory you will see this screen.
Spending your bacon to unlock planets you select where you want to launch to from this screen

When you Launch (playing around with some 3d effects here and there) you will see this screen, you upgrade the time and weapons (It's a lot of bacon, yum!) then clicking launch will launch you to another planet!, you only gain that upgrade, when you hit the highlighted bacon.
Mechanic shop! Upgrade with bacon bits.

Clicking what you want to upgrade here.
Nice eh? I don't post on this blog a lot because I'd rather get some work done, leave a message below/on my twitter/on the steam comments!

UPDATE:
Now they can't fall down (ignore the red testing part) SO BEWARE!

Still here!

Yes I'm still here, check the twitter for minor updates on what I'm doing, I'll replace this picture when I get the observatory and other structures in.

-Yes I know there's or on top it's testing.
-Yes I know how ugly the text looks, it's all a testing phase to make sure we're getting this together right.
-Yes I know the clocks buggy.

Update: I manage to put in some type of lighting, it's really crummy at the moment it'll be that way without tweaks, I want to try to get it to work with the non-HD profile.

Update to the installer

I will no longer be using an installer with DBD, rather a .rar file.

So now you will want to do the following:

How to install:
  1. Install XNA 4.0 (Link to the right)
  2. Download Dig! Build! Defend!
  3. Unzip/Unrar to a location
  4. That location is your install location!
How to uninstall:
  1. Goto the install location
  2. Delete the file
It's all very simple now!

The reason for this XNA and Clickonce do NOT go well, it's the reason for the alt+tab crash and various other bugs.

I might program an installer at a later date, this should be fine.

Steam also works and doesn't crash, it has done this all for me, as it should be fine for everyone.
